Callum Hunter is one of our many popular Year 10 students. He recently suffered a spinal stroke.
His parents are trying to raise £2500 to help with getting a new wheelchair and also help with house modifications.
If you would like to make a donation please visit the JustGiving Crowdfunding Page and help make it happen:
On Wednesday 19 July, during Period 5, students will be completing a sponsored walk, around the school grounds, to raise money for the Callum Hunter Appeal.
Callum's parents have a “Just Giving” site set up already for a chair and adaptations to their home - this will make life alot easier for Callum when he returns home. They are raising money for an ordinary wheelchair.
Callum's friends at Bexhill Academy wanted to increase awareness and raise money for a specially adapted sports wheelchair (costing £3,000) that will enable him to still play Basketball, a sport which he loves.
We will also be selling cake, and having a bric-a-brac/toy stall - please pass any donations to Mrs Andrews-Dawson.
It is also a mufti-day, but please make sure sensible clothes are worn, especially as the students will be walking during period 5.
Tickets for mufti-day are £1.00 and spare sponsorship letters can be obtained from reception.
