As part of our fundraising work at Bexhill Academy, the last day of term (Tuesday 20 December) will be a Mufti Day. The proceeds of this event will go towards the academy’s five nominated house charities (Cambridge House – Demelza House, Harvard House – Barby Keel’s Animal Sanctuary, Imperial House – Macmillan Nurses, Oxford House– Great Ormond Street, Yale House – Oliver Curd Trust).
The theme for the Mufti Day is Christmas Jumpers. Students are encouraged to wear a Christmas Jumper as part of their outfit for the day. The cost of each ticketis £1.00 and can be purchased from the House Offices from Monday 12 December or on the door on Tuesday 20 December.
Please note the following with regards to dress codes on the day:
No masks should be worn in or around the school building.
No hair colours/face paint
No jewellery other than that specified within the school rules
Clothing must be appropriate and meet our Health and Safety expectations – no skimpy costumes, no high heels etc.
Any students not complying with these expectations may be sent home to return in school uniform.
There will be a Christmas Show taking place for all students on the last day of term. The academy day will finish at 1.00 pm, when students will be dismissed. The Academy restaurant will be open from 1.00pm -1.30pm to serve drinks and refreshments. A hot meal will be available but must be booked by students at break time that day.
