As part of our fundraising work at Bexhill Academy, the last day of term (Wednesday, 19 December) will be a Mufti Day. The proceeds of this event will go towards Children in Need and the Academy’s five nominated house charities. Our successful fundraising events last year saw over £3,000.00 go to worthwhile causes, including Sussex Air Ambulance Service and Guide Dogs for the Blind.
The theme for the Mufti Day is Christmas Jumpers. Students are encouraged to wear a Christmas Jumper as part of their outfit for the day. The cost of each ticket is £1.00 and can be purchased from the House Offices from Monday, 17 December or on the door on Wednesday, 19 December.
Please note the following with regards to dress codes on the day:
1) No masks should be worn in or around the school building.
2) No hair colours/face paint
3) No jewellery other than that specified within the school rules
4) Clothing must be appropriate and meet our Health and Safety expectations – no skimpy costumes, no high heels etc.
Any students not complying with these expectations may be sent home to return in school uniform.
There will be a Christmas Show taking place for all students on the last day of term. The academy day will finish at 12.20pm, when students will be dismissed. The Academy restaurant will be open for students during the morning selling a range of hot and cold food items. If you are unable to make arrangements for your son/daughter to leave the academy at this early time, please contact Tracey Holden (Communications Officer) to ensure alternative arrangements can be made.
Please note that students will return to the academy after the Christmas break on Thursday, 3 January 2019.
Let’s make this an enjoyable day and raise money for a great cause!
