Bexhill Academy will be holding a Remembrance Service at St. Stephen’s Church, Down Road at 1.45pm on Friday 8 November.
As a Year 7 student, your child will be attending this event. The students will have lunch as normal and then walk down with a team of staff to the church in time for the service to start at 1.45pm. The service will finish at 2.50pm. Parents/Carers are also welcome to attend the event, but please be advised that the church will be quite full, so a slightly early arrival is advised. Tea and Coffee will be available after the service.
Children will be dismissed from the church at the end of the service, and will then need to make their way home from there. Please complete the slip on the letter you will receive about the service, by Monday 4 November at the latest - a copy can be found on 'letters home' of the website.
The service will include a mixture of musical performances, drama, readings and songs. We are confident it will be an uplifting and poignant experience for the students which will help them to understand the meaning and importance of Remembrance Day.
If you have any queries about the event, please feel free to contact us.
